Microwave Chemical Co., Ltd. developed an efficient/low cost proprietary microwave platform technology.
The core technology consists of novel hybrid catalyst andmicrowave continuous flow reactor with customized reaction design.
We applied the microwave platform technology to produce biofuel and chemicals from non-edible renewable feedstock.
The process also realized one pot reaction of esterification and transesterification utilizing novel hybrid catalyst.

MWCC developed a novel hybrid catalyst. The hybrid catalyst is heated selectively dueto the large electric and/or magnetic loss resulting in the nonequilibrium local heatingunder microwave irradiation.

Platform Technology #3: Large-scale continuous microwave reactor
One of the major reasons that microwave chemical has not been industrialized isits difficulty in scaling up the reactor. We have succeeded to design and operate theworld’s first large scale microwave reactor with capacity of 2〜10ton per day.

The team consists of scientist and engineers from various backgroundincluding microwave chemistry, organic chemistry and chemical engineering. More than half of the R&D team holds Ph.D. in the respective field.
